CHARLESTON – Friday was a day full of medals for West Virginia athletes during the WVSSAC track and field state championships at Laidley Field.
Finals for Class A through AAAA field events and some running events took place Friday with Wahama boys and St. Marys girls leading the Class A team standings in points, while Doodridge County and Williamstown were atop Class AA, respectively.
Keyser boys and Bridgeport girls topped the AAA standings, while Morgantown boys and Huntington girls led in AAA.
Saturday will feature finals in all running events and relays and some field events.
