Glenville State is headed to the NCAA Division II Super Regionals for the first time in program history after the Pioneers swept Charleston Saturday in the Atlantic Region Pod 1 final at Robb Field in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania.

The fourth-seeded Pioneers rallied for a 5-4 victory in the opener before pulling away early and surviving a late Charleston push in a 10-7 clinching win to improve to 49-15 on the season. Charleston finished 47-18.

In the first game, Megan Stump tossed a complete game and stranded the tying run in scoring position in the seventh inning to help Glenville State force a winner-take-all finale.

The Pioneers broke through in the fourth inning on Shelby McDaniels’ RBI single before adding two more runs in the fifth and two insurance runs in the sixth. Charleston scored twice in the sixth and added two more in the seventh, but Stump closed the door with the tying run on second base.

Kylee Goodman went 2 for 4 with an RBI and a run scored in the opener, while Alexis Harward added two hits and an RBI. Delany Warnick reached base four times with three walks and a single.

The decisive second game featured an offensive explosion from the Pioneers, who scored in each of the first five innings and built a commanding 10-2 lead.

Hannah Howe delivered three RBIs, while McDaniels collected three hits and Kylee Goodman added three more hits as Glenville State piled up 12 hits and eight walks.

Charleston mounted one final rally in the seventh inning, scoring three runs and bringing the tying run to the plate.

With two runners aboard, Stump induced a game-ending pop up from Charleston standout Kayla Moran, and Zailees Seda secured the final out with an acrobatic catch to send the Pioneers to the Super Regional round.

Glenville State’s regional title capped a dramatic turnaround after the Pioneers dropped their first matchup against Charleston earlier in the regional.

The teams met nine times during the 2026 season, with Saturday’s doubleheader deciding which Mountain East Conference rival would continue its postseason run.
